Download Playlister from the App Store for classroom use

Here is everything that you'll need to activate your Playlister Lite screen:

  • An Apple TV

  • An HDMI Cable

  • An Apple ID email and password (because this is required to download the Playlister app from the App Store)

  • Optional: An Apple TV wall mount (you can place the Apple TV on a shelf or behind the TV otherwise)

Step 1: Plug in your Apple TV to power and the display TV / projector

Step 2: Go through Apple TV setup and then connect to Internet

Navigate to settings > network > WiFi (enter your WiFi info).

If you are using ethernet- just plug the Apple TV into an ethernet port.

 

Step 3: Go to the App Store and Download Playlister

Just search for “Playlister Screen” in the TVOS App Store. Your Apple TV needs to be an Apple TV HD or Apple TV 4K to be compatible with Playlister. To tell if you have an Apple TV that will work see if your Apple TV has the TVOS App Store on the main TV menu.

The App Store will ask you to enter your Apple ID password to confirm the download.

 

Once the Playlister App is downloaded, you will see a 4 character activation code on the screen.

 

To activate the Lite Apple TV go to your Screen Manager and click the "Activate Screen" button.

Open the Playlister Apple TV app and enter the code on your TV screen.

    Is this still true a year later? Will Apple TV HD still support Playlister?
