This request would require several months of development and testing, so it has not been considered yet. Before Playlister started, our team built an editing tool like this for mobile apps. However, the tool's capabilities were never enough, and we felt like it needed to be in feature parody with Photoshop, which would require significant effort. We understand this is high value and also understand that with our resources, it needs to be seriously considered.

Tyler, we are building something here. We will give you Beta access soon. I'd love your feedback!

Tyler - Great news! I turned on Beta Access to Playlister Studio in your account. It lets you create & edit slides right in your Media Manager.

    With Playlister Studio you can:
     - Add text to key question/memory verse slides
     - Create announcement slides from scratch
     - Use a library of free media to make content

Just click the "create" button in your media manager or right click a slide and select "edit with studio" to edit an existing slide.

Wow, Thank you Grant G. ! Playlister Studio has more controls and functionality than I expected as an Experimental Beta! This is Huge for us! This should enable us to empower and activate our volunteers at a local Community Group & Gathering level with minimal additional training. Thank You!

I successfully uploaded and used our preferred font ( Avenir Next LT Pro Family ).

I finally figured out that I needed to go to a blank image in the Media Manager, click the three horizontal dot button, and then choose to "Edit with Studio". That wasn't intuitive initially. I thought I could Import Playlister Media from within the Studio like I can within the Playlist Manager.

I've re-created 4 of our existing slide templates within the Playlister Studio for our recurring slides where only small text changes week to week or month to month.
    • Host Name Slides.
    • Recurring Classes & Event Promo slides.
    • Baptism & Child Dedication themed slides to populate with their names later.

This is exactly what we were hoping to hear. I love that you’ve already created templates. That’s exactly the kind of workflow we designed Studio for, so it’s encouraging to see it. I also appreciate you pointing out the confusion around starting from the library vs a blank canvas. That’s helpful. Over the next couple of weeks we’ll continue refining Studio based on input like yours. If you come across any other friction points or “wish it could do X” moments, I’d love to hear them.

After using Studio for a couple of days, It has a lot of potential and I am excited to start using it in our workflows. The core functionality is already there and very useful, some minor refinements to Studio that i would suggest might helpful would be:
    • When I Copy & Paste Text, the duplicate jumps down and to the right, If possible it would be better for me if the text stayed in the same location rather than moving when duplicated.
    • Moveable Guidelines to help keep text in line horizontally & vertically.
    • Ruler edges to keep shapes symetrical size
    • An ability to update the background image or copy Studio properties to a new image

We’re already working on adding direct uploads inside Studio so you can bring in graphics right where you’re editing. That should make workflows a lot smoother. I love your suggestions around copy/paste behavior, moveable guidelines, rulers & background updates. Those are great refinements that fit with the direction we want Studio to grow. I’ve passed them along to our product team for consideration in upcoming sprints.

Grant G. Cropping Photos to 16x9 aspect ratio would be a huge capability if that feature was added within Playlister Studio too!

Good news is that we’ve logged this request & our team is actively working on ways to make media editing inside Studio even more powerful, including features like cropping & uploading your own images (plus QR codes!).

Grant G. It would be convenient to have "Edit in Studio" in the horizontal 3 dot menu within the Playlist Manager, rather than having to find the file in the Media Manager again to open Studio.

Cropping is Studio to 16 by 9 aspect ratio would be so useful for us!

Agreed! That idea of "Edit in Studio" in the Playlist Manager is very high on the priority list for our dev team.
