How to use tags to send specific playlists to specific TVs

Ever wonder how you can send specific playlists to specific TVs?

For example, you want your preschool lessons to appear on preschool TVs. You want your elementary lessons to appear on elementary TVs.

It would not be good to have all this content on all your TVs. Tags are how you can segment your TVs so the right material goes to the right places.

Here’s how tags work in a nutshell:

If a playlist has a tag, it will only be sent to TVs with that tag
If a playlist does not have a tag, it will be sent to all TVs

Here’s a step-by-step guide to creating and using tags:

Step 1:

Go to your screen manager and click “create tag.” Type in the name for your tag and hit “enter” or the “+” button to create it.

Step 2:

Click on the TV you want to add your tag to.

Step 3:

When the Screen settings menu appears, click the “add tag” button. Select your tag from the list that will pop up.

Step 4:

Navigate to the playlist manager and select the playlist you want to tag

Step 5:

Click the add tag button on the playlist and select the tag you want to add

That’s all! Now, playlists with the preschool tag will only appear on TVs with the preschool tag.
