Mix Slide lets you play images or videos while a group of MP3s plays in the background. It is useful for announcements, classroom arrival time, or worship music.
Before you begin, make sure your Apple TV is running Playlister 8 or later.
1. Add a Mix Slide
Open a playlist in your Playlist Manager, then drag a Mix Slide into it.
You’ll see two tracks:
- Visual Track: Add images or videos.
- Audio Track: Add MP3 files.
Drag your media into the matching track. The area will highlight green when you’re in the right spot. Once added, the files should appear indented beneath that track.
2. Choose what the remote controls
Your remote can control either the slides or the music. The other track plays automatically.
Control the slides
Choose Remote Control Slides to let volunteers click through the images and videos while the music advances automatically.
You can also shuffle the music.
Control the music
Choose Remote Control Audio to let volunteers advance through songs while the images and videos advance automatically.
The Visual Track will turn to Auto Advance, and you choose how long each image stays on screen.
3. Adjust playback settings
- Image timing: Set each image’s duration when using Auto Advance.
- Videos and MP3s: These use the full length of the file.
- Music order: Songs follow the order you added them, unless you select Shuffle.
-
Audio controls: When using Remote Control Audio, choose Pause at End, Auto Advance, or Loop.
Try it on your Apple TV
Save your playlist and test it on your screen to make sure the timing and remote controls work the way your team expects.
